Welcome to Crug-Glas

Crug-Glas luxury country house is a mixed working farm of approximately 600 acres. We have dairy cows, beef and cereals and we consider ourselves to be a traditional family farm working alongside nature.

We are about a mile inland from the coast and being so far west, situated on the end of St. Davids Peninsula, the sunsets in the evening are stunning. The sun going down behind Penberi rocks is absolutely breathtaking and has inspired many local artists.

Crug-Glas has a great amount of history attached to it, in the 12th century the farm is mentioned in the 'Black Book of St. Davids'. This book is an accurate account of many of the farms, manors and estates in the locality naming the owners and tenants of the time. Crug-Glas is reputed to have been one of the many 'seats' (residences) of the Bishop of St. Davids. The farm remained in the hands of the Church for many centuries and it was eventually sold in the early 1900's.

You'll find fascinating records of the history of the house, farm and the families who lived here in the books on the coffee table in the drawing room, on a personal note my mother was brought up in this house (her maiden name is Harries), her family moved to another farm when she was thirteen years old then my husband's family (the Evans family) moved in. What a coincidence that Perkin and I met, married and live here!

We sincerely hope you will enjoy your stay at Crug-Glas and we shall endeavor to make your stay as relaxing and comfortable as possible.
